Send Photos — It Speeds Everything Up
Describing a demolition job in words is harder than it sounds. A few photos tell us more in ten seconds than a paragraph does, and they often let us quote without a site visit at all.
What is most useful:
- The structure from two or three angles — enough to judge size and construction type
- The approach — how a truck and excavator would reach it. This is the detail most often missed and it materially affects price.
- Anything close by — neighboring buildings, fences, power lines, mature trees
- The interior, if it is safe to enter and the job involves interior work
- Anything unusual — fire damage, partial collapse, a septic tank, an old fuel tank
Do not enter a structure that looks unstable to get a photo. Nothing in an estimate is worth that.
What Helps Us Quote Accurately
- Approximate age of the building. This tells us whether asbestos is likely to be a factor, which is the largest single variable in demolition pricing.
- Rough dimensions or square footage. An estimate is fine.
- What happens to the site afterward — rebuilding, selling, or leaving it vacant. This determines whether the foundation should come out.
- Whether utilities are still connected.
- Your timeline, and whether anything is driving it — a closing date, a construction start, a code enforcement notice.
If you do not know some of these, that is fine. Most people do not. We will work it out.
What Happens Next
- We respond. Usually the same business day.
- We ask a few questions — or arrange a site visit if the project warrants one. Commercial work and anything with access complications generally does.
- You get a written quote with the scope spelled out: what is being demolished, what is included, what is not, and what happens if the asbestos survey comes back positive.
- If you proceed, we handle permitting, asbestos survey, and utility disconnect coordination before scheduling the work.

Before You Compare Quotes
If you are getting multiple bids, it is worth checking that they cover the same scope. Debris haul-off, permit fees, foundation removal, and asbestos are the four items most often excluded from a low bid — and each one is expensive to discover afterward.
