Refrigerant matters. Refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners contain refrigerant that has to be recovered by someone certified to do it before the unit is scrapped. It is illegal to vent it, and most landfills will refuse a unit that has not been properly evacuated.
This is why some haulers refuse these items and why others charge extra. We handle it correctly. If you have been quoted suspiciously cheap on a fridge removal, this step is usually what is being skipped.

You do not need to move anything to the curb. We will carry it down from a second floor, out of a basement, through a narrow hallway, or out of the back yard.
That is the actual service. Anyone can haul a couch that is already sitting on the driveway.
If a piece has to be disassembled or taken out through a window, mention it when you call so we bring the right equipment and the right number of people.
Donation First, Where It Makes Sense
A working appliance or a couch in good condition is worth more to a local charity than to a landfill. Where an item is in donatable condition and a local organization will accept it, that is where it goes, and we can provide a receipt.
Metal appliances that are past saving go to scrap. Genuinely worn-out upholstered furniture, realistically, goes to disposal — there is no market for a broken sofa, and we would rather say so than pretend.
Other Single Items
Hot tubs, above-ground pools, sheds, playsets, trampolines, exercise equipment, pianos, safes, and televisions. Several of these need disassembly, and hot tubs in particular are heavier than people expect.

Pricing
Single items are priced individually, with small loads by volume. Disposal surcharges — mattresses, tires, refrigerant units — are passed through at cost.
If you have several items, a combined pickup costs considerably less than separate trips. Worth gathering everything before calling.
