Veteran Pro Demolition serves Lindale and the surrounding area — house teardowns, mobile home removal, barn and outbuilding demolition, concrete removal, and site cleanup. Lindale is about twenty minutes north of Tyler, well inside our regular working range.
Smith County Jurisdiction
Lindale sits in Smith County, same as Tyler, but that does not mean the same permitting desk. Properties inside Lindale city limits go through the City of Lindale. Properties outside — and much of the acreage around Lindale is outside — go through Smith County.
A Lindale mailing address tells you very little about which applies. We confirm from the parcel before filing. More on the permitting process.
Growth Means Teardowns
Lindale has grown steadily, and growth changes the demolition picture. More of the work here involves clearing an older structure to make room for something new rather than simply removing a derelict building.
That distinction matters for one specific decision: whether the foundation comes out. If you are rebuilding on the same footprint with a different design, the slab has to go. If you are selling the lot, a buried slab can complicate the sale. If you are putting in a parking pad, a sound existing slab might save you money.
We quote foundation removal separately rather than assuming either way, and we will ask what happens to the site next. More on concrete and slab removal.
Rural and Semi-Rural Properties
Plenty of the properties around Lindale sit on acreage, which brings the usual rural considerations — barns and equipment sheds, septic rather than sewer, and access that varies from a paved drive to a soft dirt track through trees.
Old barns occasionally contain timber worth salvaging. Where that is true it can offset part of the cost, and where it is not, we will say so. More on barn and outbuilding demolition.
Asbestos in Older Lindale Structures
Anything built before roughly 1980 should be assumed to potentially contain asbestos until a survey confirms otherwise — popcorn ceilings, floor tile and mastic, siding, pipe wrap, and joint compound being the usual places.
We survey and abate under TDSHS licence in-house, which keeps a finding from adding weeks and a second contractor to your schedule. More on asbestos abatement.
