VETERAN PRO DEMOLITION · TYLER & EAST TEXAS

Demolition Services in Whitehouse, TX

Veteran Pro Demolition serves Whitehouse and the surrounding area — house teardowns, pool removal, concrete, deck and fence removal, outbuilding demolition, and site cleanup. Whitehouse is about fifteen minutes south of Tyler, one of the closest communities to our base.

Smith County, City or Unincorporated

Whitehouse is in Smith County. Properties inside city limits go through the City of Whitehouse; properties outside go through Smith County. The requirements differ, and a Whitehouse address does not settle which applies.

We confirm jurisdiction from the parcel before filing. More on the permitting process.

Residential Work in Established Neighborhoods

Whitehouse is largely residential, and much of our work here is on occupied lots in settled neighborhoods rather than open acreage. That changes the job in practical ways.

Neighbors are close. Working a few feet from someone else’s fence, garage, or landscaping requires more care and sometimes slower methods on one side of a structure.

Access is often through a back gate. If an excavator cannot reach a back-yard structure, the work becomes hand demolition with material carried out — which affects cost more than the structure’s size does. A photo of the approach is genuinely more useful than a photo of the building.

Cleanup standards matter more. Nobody wants debris tracked down a residential street. We sweep and leave the site clean.

Pools, Decks, and Back-Yard Structures

A large share of Whitehouse work is the smaller back-yard jobs — an unused pool, a rotted deck, a leaning fence, a shed past saving.

On pools specifically, the partial-fill versus full-removal decision is worth reading about before you commit. Partial fill is cheaper, but it is a disclosable fact when you sell and the ground is generally not buildable afterward. More on pool removal.

On decks and fences, footings are the difference between a lot you can mow and a lot with concrete plugs in it. More on deck and fence removal.

These smaller jobs often fall below the general demolition minimum, so combining several into one visit is considerably cheaper than separate trips.

Asbestos in Older Homes

For any Whitehouse structure built before roughly 1980, assume asbestos may be present until a survey says otherwise. Popcorn ceilings and floor tile mastic are the most common findings in housing of that era.

We survey and abate in-house under TDSHS licence. More on asbestos abatement.
